Hi, I'm Robert! I love photography and shoot a wide range of personal and commission work.

I am a retired art educator with 28 years dedicated to teaching and inspiring young minds. Creativity has always been central to who I am. As a child, I was drawn to the overlooked—the quiet details others passed by. I studied the striking imagery in my mother’s magazines, fascinated by composition, texture, and story.

My father, a preacher and assistant pastor, had a hidden talent for drawing. Though he rarely showcased it, his ability left a lasting impression. While I did not follow his exact path, his influence helped shape my creative journey. I discovered my own voice through an old, dusty camera I found as a teenager—defining my direction.

Photography became my first love.

My process is intuitive, experimental, and playful. I layer images that seem unrelated, using contrast to create new meaning. Much of my current work leans into abstraction—blurring reality through texture, color, and form. I explore movement and distortion to create pieces that invite interpretation. I embrace unpredictability and allow the work to evolve organically.

Beyond photography, I create abstract sculptural and mixed-media works using recycled glass and repurposed materials. These pieces extend my visual language into physical form, where light and structure interact in unexpected ways, reflecting both curiosity and a commitment to sustainability.

At its core, my work is about discovery—of materials, perspective, and self. Through both my art and my years in education, I strive to inspire others to look closer and recognize that creativity exists everywhere.
